FOGATA DE VAPOR
FOGATA DE VAPOR es una ofrenda al agua mediante una fuente de vapor. Una bomba y sistema de aspersores en forma circular pulveriza agua líquida y la convierte en vapor, creando una "fuente" que humedece el aire y la tierra. Pulsando un microclima inestable y de bordes difusos, una nube de vapor se mueve en relación al viento, la temperatura, las condiciones atmosféricas y la presencia de personas y otros seres.
En esta instalación site-specific, la fogata es de agua y el vapor es el agente térmico en torno al que se congrega una experiencia. Un altar de agua. Una máquina ambiental que pulsa vapores y suspiros. Un pulmón. Un artefacto tecno húmedo que condensa rocío.
Canalizar agua líquida desde una llave, hacerla circular por un sistema de tuberías y presión que la impulsa y la pulveriza, derramarla al aire, donde algunas moléculas se evaporan, otras se adhieren a superficies, algunas precipitan y se devuelvan a la tierra, otras se respiran bañando pieles y cavidades, es un ejercicio inmersivo de contemplación que evidencia los misterios de su incesante circulación y transición.
FOGATA DE VAPOR (VAPOR CAMPFIRE) is an offering to water through a source of steam. A circular pump and sprinkler system pulverizes liquid water and turns it into vapor, creating a "fountain" that humidifies the air and the ground. Pulsating an unstable microclimate with blurring edges, a vapor cloud moves in relation to wind, temperature, atmospheric conditions, and the presence of people and other beings.
In this site-specific installation, the campfire is made of water and vapor is the thermal agent around which a gathering experience happens. An altar of water. An ambient machine that pulsates vapors and sighs. A lung. A wet tech artifact that condenses dew.
Channeling liquid water from a faucet, circulating it through a system of pipes and pressure that propels and pulverizes it, pouring it into the air, where some molecules evaporate, others adhere to surfaces, some precipitate and return to the earth, others are breathed bathing skins and cavities, it is an immersive exercise of contemplation that reveals the mysteries of its incessant circulation and transition.
